Crowne Plaza Riverfront Hotel was a fabulous venue for both bridal prep as well as the elegant reception. To start the day, Ashley and her bridesmaids gathered for drinks and laughter.
Ashley and Ricky exchanged love letters during the morning festivities and both had individual emotional moments while they read to themselves.
The bride was nervous and excited as she stepped into her gown.
Hotel rooms often times have beautiful exposure to natural window light.
While the bride and friends sipped mimosas the groomsmen were in a nearby room having fun as well. The groom added the brides gifted tie clip to complete his outfit.
Across the street from the Crown Plaza there is a trellis saturated with gorgeous greenery. This made the perfect location for the bride and groom’s “first-look” as well as portraits.
After some alone time with the bride and groom, the bridal party joined the fun.
The next location was the Chapel on the St. Thomas campus. The grounds of the Chapel were as beautiful and the interior of the building.
The bride adjusted her veil before she entered the church to become a Mrs.
Back at the Crowne Plaza, the dinner crew was finishing the ballroom details. I managed to collect a few photos while the guests enjoyed cocktail hour.
The speeches were heartfelt and full of love and laughter.
There was not a traditional wedding cake at this wedding but rather crème brulee and cheese cake for guests. (YUM!) However, the maid of honor had a surprise in store for the newly married couple. Their first date was celebrated with Izzy’s Ice Cream, so a gift of Izzy’s was given after speeches. This made for a fun replacement for a traditional cake cutting.
The first dance was lovely with the black finish on the dance floor.
People often ask me if I take photos of the crowd dancing. The answer to that would be YES! It is a great opportunity to capture great candid shots of guests enjoying themselves. So here are a few crowd shots that I don’t usually add to my blog posts.
