Mississippi Gardens opened just weeks before this ceremony. Eli and Lewis are one of the first weddings ever celebrated here on the river. The scenery as well as the venue were all gorgeous.
Elizabeth prepared for the day in the beautiful bridal prep room.
The bride and groom did not see each other before the ceremony so the bride stayed in the prep room. We made the most of our time by shooting photos in the doorway.
The groom and groomsmen were free to walk the premise since the girls were tucked away inside. So we walked down to the river on this crisp fall day.
The ceremony was heartfelt and full of praises to The Lord. I agree whole heartedly that a cord of 3 strands cannot be broken.
Now that we could get the bridal party together, we had some fun before dismissing the friends to cocktail hour. These guys were so fun!
Ladies in red dresses are fabulous!
Elizabeth was all laughter at this point and I couldn’t help but capture her laughter as much as possible.
Onto my favorite part of the day. The bridal portraits of the bride and groom!
Before heading inside, we walked through the ceremony space again to admire the twinkle lights.
The ballroom was decorated beautifully. Guests enjoyed cocktails, appetizers and an assortment of festive flavored water before entering for dinner. Cranberry apple water was refreshing.
Dinner was served family style. Guests passed around platters of delicious entrees while speeches warmed the room with love and laughter.
The happy couple danced into the evening.
