Micki & Shawn’s beautiful day began with bridal prep at the Marriot in Hopkins. The brides purse had gorgeous beads which made for a great backdrop for her ring.
The groom was anxiously waiting to see his bride for the first time in her wedding gown.
The bridal suite had a balcony which made for a great first-look location.
Before heading to the church, the guys posed for me in the lobby. I loved the masculine tones this hotel lobby offered.
I have worked at Immaculate Heart of Mary a few times. I love to be here. The windows provide wonderful light.
Formal photos were done at the alter following the ceremony. I am always asked if I shoot formal alter photos. Of course I do, I just don’t usually post them. Here is a sample of a typical alter photo 🙂
Micki and Shawn had a perfect summer day for outdoor wedding photos on the golf course.
After fun group photos, we sent the bridal party back to the clubhouse so the bride and groom could be alone for portraits.
The grooms mother is a florist and created stunning floral arrangements for the day. Guests enjoyed the candy buffet before dinner.
As the couple mingled with guests on the patio, I stopped them in front of the patio doors for some playful poses. We can never get enough portraits on a wedding day!
When the dance floor opened up, things got a little wild!
To finish the evening, we went outside for sunset photos. The evening was beautiful and the couple was having a great time. It was a great opportunity to add variety to their photos.
